KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): At least seven labourers have been killed and six others wounded as a result of a roadside bombing in northern Kunduz province, an official said on Tuesday.
Esmat Muradi, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the blast took place on Monday evening when a Taliban-placed landmine hit a rickshaw carrying labourers.
He said seven workers were killed and six others wounded in the explosion in Khanabad district, he said, adding four of the injured were in critical condition.
Muradi said the blast took place in a Taliban-controlled area and the militants had planted the landmine to target the security forces.
But Taliban have so far not commented on the landmine blast.
