On Tuesday evening, a heavy explosion shook the Wazir Akbar Khan mosque next to the Green Zone during evening prayers. Two people, including Imam AyazNiazai, were killed and three others wounded.
Abdul Zahir Tamim, a lower house member from western Ghor, condemned the blast as a huge crime against humanity. “The blast takes place in a highly secure area, it shows security forces are in deep sleep.”
