UAE denounces bomb attack on Kabul mosque

KABUL in Kabul, causing deaths and injuries.

On Tuesday, a heavy explosion shook a mosque in Wazir Akbar Khan next to the Green Zone during evening prayers. Two people, including Imam Ayaz Niazai, were killed and three others wounded.

In Abu Dhabi, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs denounced the attack as a criminal act and rejected all forms of violence.

Such acts, in conflict with all religious and human values, were aimed to undermine security and stability, a statement from the ministry said.

The UAE extended its sincere condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to the injured, according to the Emirates News Agency.

Pakistan also strongly condemns terrorist attack atazir Akbar Khan mosque in #Kabul which resulted in martyrdom of amongst others, Dr. Ayaz Niazi, a renowned and distinguished religious scholar.

We offer our sincere condolences to the family who lost their loved ones. Embassy said in a statement.
