Dozens of policemen face military attorney: MoI

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Interior on Monday said it had introduced 38 more police personnel to the military attorney over misuse of authority in various provinces.

Tariq Aryan, MoI spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the policemen had been accused of misusing authority in Kabul, Herat, Nangarhar, Ghazni, Jawzjan, Samangan, Takhar, Zabul, Khost, Kunduz, Parwan, Baghlan and Bamyan provinces.

He said the MoI was taking measures against corruption and bringing transparency in the ministry’s affairs. He added the ministry had earlier introduced dozens of accused policemen to the military attorney.

The MoI did not provide information about the ranks of the police personnel.
