KABUL militants stormed security check posts in Aqcha district of northern Jawzjan province overnight, killing at least six security forces, the Ministry of Defense said on Wednesday.
In a statement, the MoD said another three security men were wounded in the attack in Bala-i-Hesar area of the district late on Tuesday night.
The attackers also suffered casualties but exact figures were not immediately available.
The Taliban have not yet commented in this regard.
