Taliban killed 300 security forces last week: NSC

KABUL conducting 422 attacks in 32 provinces.

The insurgents inflicted casualties on 841 Afghan security and defence personnel during the week, said a statement from NSC.

In the Taliban assaults, 291 security forces were killed and 550 others wounded. At least 148 civilians were also killed and wounded in last week’s violence by the militants.

The NSC said last week was the deadliest in the past 19 years for the security forces, despite Taliban’s pledge to reduce violence and work for peace . . .
