The agreement came during a videoconference on Tuesday between the special envoys of the two countries for Afghanistan.
Uzbekistan’s Ismatulla Irgashev and UK’s Gareth Bayley discussed efforts for a negotiated settlement to the Afghan crisis, the Foreign Ministry in Tashkent said.
The two sides also called for the early launch of direct intra-Afghan talks, as well as cooperation on rebuilding the economy of the war-hit nation.
