KABUL (Pajhwok): Four members of a family have been killed and five others wounded as a result of an airstrike in northern Balkh province, a resident claimed on Thursday.
Ayub Momand, a tribal elder from Balkh district, told Pajhwok Afghan News the security forces conducted the airstrike in the Wazirabad village of Balkh district late on Wednesday night.
He said two children and their parents were killed and five others, including minors and women of the same family wounded in the overnight attack.
The elder added residents of the area making preparations for staging a protest against the raid. The security forces have not yet commented on the incident.
