QALA-I-NAW/GARDEZ (Pajhwok): A family of three people was killed when their motorcycle hit a roadside bomb in northwestern Badghis province.
Deputy Governor of Badghis Faiz Mohammad Mirzadah told Pajhwok Afghan News the blast took place on the Qala-i-Naw-Abkamari highway this morning.
He said, three people, parents and their child, were killed in the blast. He accused the Taliban of planting the bomb in the area.
Elsewhere, two magnetic bombs exploded near a security check-post on the Paktia-Khost highway this afternoon in southeastern Paktia province. Two Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers were wounded and their pick up vehicle destroyed in the explosions.
The Taliban have not yet commented about these incidents.
