3 security commanders killed in Uruzgan blast

TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): Three local security commanders for Khaz Uruzgan district of central Uruzgan province were killed in a bomb blast on Wednesday, an official said.

Zargai Abadi, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the explosion took place in the district on a security forces convoy at around 1:30am today.

He said the dead included district police chief Dad Gul, ALP commander and ANA unit commander for Khas Uurzgan district.

He said two policemen and as many ANA personnel were also killed in the blast.

The Taliban have not yet commented about the blast.
