3 traffic police gunned down in Samangan attack

AIBAK (Pajhwok): Unidentified armed men killed three traffic policemen in Aibak city, the provincial capital of northern Samangan province, on Wednesday, an official said.

Police spokesman Munir Rahimi told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident occurred in Qachandara area of the provincial capital  today, with the attackers making their escape good after the incident.

Mohammad Hasham Sarwari, deputy provincial council head, told Pajhwok the three slain traffic personnel daily stood on road in the certain area and created problems of drivers.

He said he did not know the traffic policemen were killed by the Taliban or by other groups.
