Eid celebrated with prayers across the country

KABUL (Pajhwok): The first day of Eid-ul-Adha was celebrated across the country as millions of people streamed to mosques for prayers on Friday.

The prayers were offered in a peaceful atmosphere in the capital Kabul and other provinces of the country. 

President Ashraf Ghani, cabinet members and parliamentarians offered the Eid prayers in a mosque inside the Presidential Palace.

In their sermons, prayer leaders and religious scholars prayed for lasting peace and prosperity in the country.
