Heavy rainfall, flood kill woman, 15 children in Nangarhar

JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Sixteen people, including 15 children were killed as a result of heavy rainfall and flash flood in eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Saturday.

Attaullah Khogyani, the governor spokesperson, told Pajhwok Afghan News a woman and 15 chidlren were killed and four others injured as a result of heavy rainfall and flood in the Koz Kunar district.

He said thousands of acres of agriculture land and some homes were destroyed as a result rainfall.
