KABUL did not stage armed attack against foreign forces in the past four months while attacks against Afghan security forces were unprecedented during the period, a media report said on Saturday.
This was stated by the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan (SIGAR), in its recent assessment report, according to the VoA.
The past six months were taught and challenging comparing to the past 20 years of fighting.
The report said that certain developments such as the US, Taliban agreement, disputed presidential elections, tension between Iran and the US, release of the prisoners and lengthy debate over the issue and the covid-19 pandemic made situation difficult for Afghan security forces.
The VoA quoted the NATO Resolute Support mission saying the Taliban have not launched any attack against foreign forces in the past four months.
Afghan government also acknowledged surge in attacks against Afghan security forces after the US, Taliban agreement.
Tariq Aryan, spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said the Taliban launched 222 attacks against Afghan forces last week in which 422 Afghan security personnel killed and injured.
