KABUL prisoners begins in the attendance of 3,500 participants in capital Kabul on Friday.
President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, Head of the High National Reconciliation Council (HNRC) Abdullah Abdullah, cabinet members, members of parliament, Jihadi leaders, foreign diplomats and representatives and members from different parts of the country are present in the grand national event.
The CLJ has been convened after the government said that the president lacked the authority to free remaining 400 Taliban prisoners as they were involved in serious crimes and some were sentenced to death.
The Taliban already rejected the CLJ and said such event could not represent the nation and had no legal importance before nation-wide peace and a political settlement.
