HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): Intelligence operatives arrested hundreds of people over their alleged involvement in various crimes during the past five months in western Herat province, an official said Saturday.
The National Directorate Security (NDS) personnel arrested 219 people over various crimes during the period, said Ghulam Dawood Hashemi, Herat's deputy governor.
Announcing the five-month performance of the spy service to media, he said the detainees included 64 persons linked to terrorist incidents.
