PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): A radio station building has been damaged in an explosion in northern Baghlan province, an official said on Wednesday.

Police spokesman Ahmad Javed Basharat told Pajhwok Afghan News the roadside explosion took place near the Arman-i-Shahr Radio in Pul-i-Khumri on Tuesday night.

“Security personnel were the target of the bomb that shattered windowpanes of the radio station building,” the police official added.

But Syed Azim Hashimi, director of the radio, said the blast took place at the entrance to the station.

“The windowpanes of the building were shattered and a number of machines also damaged,” he informed.
