MAIDAN SHAHR (Pajhwok): The governor of central Maidan Wardak province on Tuesday asked security forces to avoid using heavy weapons fire which often inflicted casualties on civilians.
Addressing a gathering to mark the 101st Independence Day here, Governor Abdul Yamin Zafaruddin said Afghanistan gained independence as a result of countless sacrifices.
He said security forces should not use heavy weapons fire in respect to the country’s independence day celebrations because often civilians fell prey to such firings.
