JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Chicken meat import from neighboring Pakistan has rendered the local poultry industry in eastern Nangarhar province struggling with survival, farms owners said Sunday.
They said chicken meat import from Pakistan against low tax has resulted in decreased chicken price in the eastern zone.
According to poultry farms owners, another problem they face is the arrival of one-day-old chicken meat and low quality medicines from Pakistan.
