GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): At least three security personnel were killed and six others wounded as a result of car bombing in southern Ghazni province on Monday, an official said.
Wahidullah Jumazada, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the militants targeted the office complex of Deh Yak district at 3:00am.
He said the insurgents also attacked security check-posts after the bombing but they faced strong resistance from the security forces.
Three security personnel were killed and six others wounded in the bombing, Jumazada said, adding the militants also suffered casualties. But exact figures are not known.
Police spokesman Ahmad Khan Seerat said the militants attacked many security check-posts in Ghazni City, the provincial capital, on Sunday night.
The Taliban have not yet commented on incident.
