<p><a href="/en/afganistan/kabul" class="glossify-link">KABUL</a> (Pajhwok): National Security Advisor Hamdullah Mohib has praised the sacrifices of Afghan police in the fight against terrorism and for law enforcement.</p>
<p>Addressing a meeting of the International Police Coordination Board at the Presidential Palace yesterday, the NSA said the Ministry of Interior had taken effective steps towards countering terrorism, enforcing law and management of expenses.</p>
<p>Acting Interior Minister Mohammad Massoud Andarabi and ambassadors of a number of countries were present at the meeting.</p>
<p>Mohib thanked <a href="/en/afghanistan" class="glossify-link">Afghanistan</a>’s international partners for their support with the Afghan national police and said the Afghan police needed even more such support.</p>
<p>Interior Minister Andarabi on the occasion said they were working on a comprehensive program to improve police services with focus on meeting human capacity needs and investigating past police work.</p>
<p>The minister urged the international community to help the Afghan police reach their goals.</p>
<p>British ambassador to Afghanistan Ms Alison Blake on the occasion expressed her pleasure over the resumption of police reform and said the enemies of peace and Afghanistan wanted to reverse the past gains. She called for joint efforts to improve the situation.</p>
<p>She said her country supported the Afghan Interior Ministry’s reform and establishment of the accountability department.</p>
