KABUL and Uzbekistan have signed a 10-year electricity import agreement, a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) said on Saturday.
The agreement was signed on Friday during Acting Foreign Minister Mohammad Hanif Atmar’s visit to Tashkent at the head of a high level delegation, the statement said.
According to the agreement, after completion of a 500 kilovolt electricity supply cable, Uzbekistan would supply 4.25 kilowatt of electricity in one hour to Afghanistan in the first and second year of the agreement . . .
