JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Unidentified armed men shot dead a teacher at the university in eastern Nangarhar province on Tuesday, an official said.
Attaullah Khogyani, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place in the Khogyani district this morning.
He said the lecturer, Adam Khan Mlatar, was on his way home from the university when he was attacked. He said security forces had launched their investigation into the incident.
Ustad Mlatar taught languages and Pashtu literature at the Nangarhar University.
There was no claim of responsibility for his murder . . .
