MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): At least 15 Taliban insurgents have been killed by their own bomb in the Dawlatabad district of northern Balkh province.
In a statement, the Shaheen Military Corps said the incident took place in the Bedo village of the district late on Friday.
It added the explosive device went off when a Taliban bomb maker was training his associates on how to plant and detonate IEDs.
The corps claimed the bomb-maker was killed along with 14 other militants in the explosion.
Taliban have not yet commented on the explosion in Balkh.
