FEROZKOH (Pajhwok): At least three drug smugglers were killed and as many wounded when their vehicle struck a landmine in western Ghor province on Sunday.
Acting police chief Wahidullah Nizami told Pajhwok Afghan News that the drugs-packed vehicle hit the roadside bomb in Shabedak area of Ferozkoh city this morning.
As a result, he said, three drug traffickers were killed and three others wounded. A number of weapons were also destroyed in the vehicle.
According to Ghor officials, the smugglers wanted to smuggle drugs from north to south. They did not name the deceased.
