ZARANJ (Pajhwok): The customs revenue of southwestern Nimroz province has reached nearly one billion afghanis, increasing by 61 percent, in the first six months of the current year compared to the same period of 2019.
A customs official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Pajhwok Afghan News the revenue had reached 910 million afghanis in the first six months of the year. The figure stood at 562 million afghanis in the same period last year.
He added this year’s revenue showed a 61 percent increase compared to last year. He hopes the customs revenue would significantly surge by the end of this year.
