LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): Nearly a dozen people have been killed in a suicide attack in southern Helmand province, officials said on Thursday.
Omar Zwak, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the suicide bomber ploughed his explosives-laden vehicle into a security checkpoint in Nar-i-Saraj district on Wednesday night.
He said seven security personnel and four civilians were killed and two others wounded in the overnight assault.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the bomb attack, but local officials accused the Taliban . . .
