Child rescued from kidnappers in Herat

HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): An 11-year-old child has been rescued from his kidnappers and three suspects arrested in connection with the case in western Herat province, the spy service said on Thursday.

The National Directorate of Security (NDS) in a statement said that the child had been kidnapped two weeks back from Herat province.

NDS personnel rescued the child from kidnappers in limits of Ingil district on Wednesday night. Three kidnappers were detained, the statement said.

It said the kidnappers had demanded $100,000 in ransom from the family of the child.
