Commander Laiwani killed in Helmand blast

LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): Company commander of Nawa district in southern Helmand province has been killed in a bomb blast on Monday, an official said.

Governor Spokesperson Umar Zwak told Pajhwok Afghan News Gul Agha known as Laiwani was killed this afternoon as a result of a land mine blast on his vehicle.

He said Commander Laiwani was killed and another policeman injured in the incident.

The Taliban have not spoken about the incident
