GCC chief receives Afghan envoy to Saudi Arabia

KABUL to Saudi Arabia Ahmed Javed Mujadidi in his office in Riyadh.

They discussed issues of mutual interest and underscored the importance of cooperation in expanding ties between Afghanistan and GCC countries for achieving common interests and supporting security and stability of the region, a statement said.

The Afghan ambassador conveyed condolences of his country's government and people on the sad demise of Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

He recalled the late Kuwaiti emir’s supportive role for security and stability of the region and the entire world, the official Saudi press agency (SPA) reported.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Abdulaziz Hamad Al-Owaisheq, Assistant Secretary General of the GCC for Political Affairs and Negotiations.
