JALALABAD (Pajhwok): The Sararud district mayor on Wednesday alleged he was beaten and tortured by security guards of Wolesi Jirga member Noor Agha Malakzai who rejected his claim.
Mayor Navid Shinwari told reporters here that Malakzai’s security guards stopped the driver of a truck who was his relative because Malakzai’s security guards had blocked the road.
“When I reached there and started interfering, they started beating me and even hit me with a rocket launcher,” he said.
