KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ghazi Amanullah Khan first grade domestic tournament has kicked off in southern Kandahar province.
Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) Chief Executive Raees Ahmadzai, other members have participated in the opening ceremony of the tournament.
The first game of the tournament was played after the inaugural event on Saturday in which the Band-i-Ameer team beat the Bost team by six wickets.
Band-i-Ameer won the toss and invited Bost to bat and they managed to score 89 runs in the loss of all wixkets in 35 overs.
Band-i-Amir chased the target in 18 overs at the lost of four wickets.
Imran Jannat and Darwais Rasouli scored 19 runs each and Hazratullah Zazai scored 14 runs for his team.
Hamza Hotck three wickets and Nijat and Waqar 2 wickets each helped Band Amir to limit the opposition to 89 runs .
