KABUL after the withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan is unfair and unacceptable.
Abdullah expressed the view while addressing a large gathering in Loya Jirga hall marking the 2nd death anniversary of Kandahar Police Chief Gen. Abdul Razeq.
Gen. Razeq was shot dead by one of the Kandahar governor’s security guard two years back in the Kandahar City Airport.
Abdullah pledged to remain committed to Gen. Razeq’s dream which was the establishment of durable peace in the country and would do everything to achieve this goal.
He offered his condolences to Gen. Razeq’s brother Gen. Tadin Khan, his family and the people of Loy Kandahar on this occasion.
Referring to the withdrawal of foreign forces from Afghanistan, he said the matter was not being debated now, adding that his may be discussed in the future.
“If the Taliban think that US forces would withdraw from Afghanistan and the would then imposed their Islamic Emirate system on the people so this is not acceptable to the people, adding that this would mean continuation of war which is a wrong calculation.”
Abdullah said increase in violence was not an option for achieving peace. “Taliban’s strategy to get upper hand in peace talks by forging violence is a miscalculation. This in that past resulted in pro-longing conflict,” he added.
