FEROZKOH (Pajhwok): Sixteen people were killed and 155 others injured as a result of a massive car-bombing in western Ghor province, an official said on Monday.
The blast took place on Sunday in front of the Women, Martyrs and Disabled Affairs Departments situated close the police headquarters in Ferozkoh, the provincial capital.
An explosives-packed vehicle was used in the bombing, Tariq Aryan, spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior (MoI), said.
Police chief Faridullah Nizami on Monday provided an update on the car bombing, saying 16 people were killed and 155 others injured.
He said the victims were civilians who either worked in offices or were busy working outside the government departments.
Ghor Hospital Director Dr. Mohammad Umar Lalzad said some injured were still in critical condition. Doctors are trying to save their lives.
