KABUL (Pajhwok): First vice-president Amrullah Saleh has said a list of unauthorized buildings in Kabul has been prepared and car showroom outside the city selling stolen vehicles would be sealed.
Saleh wrote in his Facebook page that it was said that most cars in showroom in Qarabagh district and Parwan province sold cars stolen from Kabul by changing their colors.
“Very soon, the joint task force will surround car dealers outside Kabul and remove coats of paint from each vehicle to deal with reports of stolen vehicles,” he wrote.
He said owners of the destroyed buildings had been set a deadline to clear the occupied area, otherwise their materials would be transported elsewhere and the transport costs would be obtained from them.
According to Saleh, a list of violators who have gone into hiding or fled fearing the Security Charter Program has been shared with all local representatives and the local representative had tightened the noose around criminals.
Without going into details, he reported the arrest of dozens of people based on lists compiled by the public and said movement of undocumented vehicles had been reduced up to 90 percent, but it was still not enough.
On July, the Ministry of Interior announced the establishment of a Security Charter Program aimed at providing better security and an effective fight against crime through mobilizing citizens.
