JALALABAD (Pajhwok): A dozen Taliban militants, half of them Pakistanis, have been killed and seven others injured in security forces’ operations in Nangarhar province, an official said on Friday.
The rebels suffered casualties in retaliatory ground and air offensives by security forces in Dando area of the Khogyani district, said the provincial government spokesman.
Attaullah Khogyani said the bodies of the Taliban, two Kalashnikovs and one machinegun remained in the area.
The security forces and civilians suffered no casualties in the operation, he said.
The Taliban have said nothing in this regard so far.
