PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) activists have staged a protest sit-in in the capital of southwestern Balochistan province.
The protest came on Saturday when the authorities stopped PTM lawmaker Mohsin Dawar from leaving the Quetta airport.
He was detained at the Quetta airport along with a friend, Dawar tweeted. "Once again our rights are being violated by the state.”
The legislator was told that security risks were behind the ban on his entry into Quetta. “Why are these risks limited to me only? We refuse to be silenced like this."
Dawar had flown into Quetta to attend the third rally of the 11-party opposition alliance called Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM).
