Govt, Taliban accuse each other of killing civilians

KABUL militants have accused each other of causing casualties to civilians in the country’s conflict.

Ministry of Interior spokesman Tariq Aryan told Pajhwok Afghan News that Taliban inflected causalities on  863 civilians during 2,000 attacks in the last 50 days nation-wide.

He said around 2,000 Taliban insurgents were also killed and wounded in security forces attacks.

On the other hand, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid rejected the MoI spokesman allegation, saying the fighters only targeted government military facilities in attacks.
