KABUL (Pajhwok): The deputy chairman of the High Council for National Reconciliation (HNRC), Haji Din Mohammad, has escaped unhurt in an armed attack that killed one of his bodyguards.
Abdul Qahar Qader, a member of the Nangarhar provincial council and nephew of Din Mohammad, wrote in his Facebook account the incident took place on the Kabul-Jalalabad highway on Saturday evening.
He added that Haji Din Mohammad survived but one of his bodyguards was killed and a second wounded in the gun attack in the Wrashmeen Tangi area of Sarobi district.
