KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): Five people were killed and two others injured in a landmine blast in the Arghandab district of southern Kandahar province on Saturday, an official said.
Governor Spokesperson Baheer Ahmad told Pajhwok Afghan News the blast ripped through a three-wheeler vehicle in Tabin locality this morning.
He said the individuals onboard in the vehicle were traveling to their farms to harvest pomegranates.
He said militants have planted several landmines and security forces were busy detecting and defusing them.
