KABUL in next three years.

In an interview with APP, he said trade between Pakistan and Afghanistan had three dimensions — transit trade, bilateral trade and informal trade.

He said the informal trade needed to be documented as well as modernised with infrastructure development.

The advisor added the informal trade between the two countries was two billion dollars last year. Both sides have more prospects to enhance the bilateral trade volume.

He said the trade could also help further strengthen relations between the two brotherly countries and achieve the agenda of mutual interest.

The neighbours were negotiating with stakeholders to finalise the Afghanistan Pakistan Transit Trade Agreement, which would be reviewed in February next year.

Dawood said both sides were in discussions on removing barriers and overcoming hurdles to bilateral trade.
