15 insurgents killed in Nangarhar raids

JALALABAD (Pajhwok): At least 15 Taliban insurgents have been killed and seven others wounded in air and ground operations in Hesarak district of eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Saturday.

The militants carried out coordinated attacks on security forces who put up strong resistance, said Mohammad Haroon Yousafzai, spokesman for the Afghan army’s 201^stSelab Military Corps.

He told Pajhwok Afghan News the attacks followed security forces air-and-ground operations, leaving 15 insurgents dead and seven others wounded, while the security forces suffered no casualties.
