KABUL (Pajhwok): A newly-constructed building for the provincial Commerce and Industry Department of central MaidanWardak province was inaugurated on Monday.
A statement from the provincial media office said the building consumed nearly 21 million afghanis.
Governor Abdul Rahman Tariq, who inaugurated the building, said the structure would enable the authorities to provide better services to people with regard to the development of industry and trade.
He added the building contained facilities to provide better services and solve problems in related areas.
Separately, a newly-built building for a primary school for boys and girls was also inaugurated Pirokhel area of Narkh district.
A statement from the governor’s office said the school building cost 4.4 million afghanis and took one year to complete. The building has six classrooms, an administrative room and three bathrooms.
