KABUL (Pajhwok): Amid differences between Vice President Amrullah Saleh and lawmakers, National Security Advisor Hamdullah Mohib has met parliament speakers.
In his remarks to the Geneva Conference last week, Amrullah Saleh accused some members of parliament of involvement in massive corruption.
In a statement, the National Security Council said Mohib met Mir Rahman Rahmani, speaker of the Wolesi Jirga, and Fazal Hadi Muslimyar, chairman of Meshrano Jirga, and a number of MPs.
The statement said the current situation in the country and improvement in coordination between the government and legislature were discussed at the meeting.
The speakers of both houses said the parliament, as a state pillar, stood by the government and supported it wholeheartedly.
