Koh-i-Safi district chief injured in Kabul attack

CHARIKAR (Pajhwok): The administrative chief for the Koh-i-Safi district of central Parwan province was injured in an armed attack on Sunday, an official said.

Unidentified gunmen attacked Samandar Sikandari’s convoy in the Kalakan district of Kabul. He came under attack on his way back to Parwan.

Mohammad Hanif Sediqi, the administrative chief of Qarabagh district, acknowledged the incident. He said Sikandari’s leg was injured in the attack and he was taken to Kabul for treatment.

No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.
