Atmar laments Iranian scientist’s assassination

KABUL (Pajhwok): In a telephone conversation with Iranian counterpart Javad Zarif, Foreign Minister Hanif Atmar has lamented the assassination of top scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh.

Atmar extended his deepest condolences to the Iranian government and nation over the recent killing of the scientist, URNA reported.

Bilateral issues, the opening of the Khaf-Herat railway and bilateral cooperation in the water field were discussed by the ministers.

Also on Monday, Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah sympathised with the Iranian nation and government over the terrorist attack.

In Kabul, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement condemning the murder of the senior Iranian nuclear scientist.
