KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): At least three policemen were killed and five others wounded on Saturday when a car bomb struck their check-post in southern Kandahar province.
The incident took place in the Sufianzai area of Arghistan district today morning, police spokesman Jamal Nasir Barakzai told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The explosives-packed Humvee vehicle was ploughed into the check-post, leaving three policemen dead and five others wounded.
But a security official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said 10 security personnel were killed and two others wounded in the bombing.
There has been no word yet from the Taliban about the bombing.
