PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): Taliban’s district chief for Khinjan district of northern Baghlan province was killed along with three others during a clash with security forces last night.
Police spokesman Ahmad JavedBasharat told Pajhwok Afghan News on Sunday that Mullah Amir, the Taliban’s district chief for Khinjan district, and three of his comrades were killed after they attacked security check-posts on Saturday night.
He said Mula Amir wanted to travel from Doshi district to Khinjan district when he was killed in fighting with security forces.
According to him, Mullah Amir had been serving as Taliban’s district chief in Khinjan district.
The Taliban have not commented about the incident so far.
