MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): Seven people have been killed and two others wounded in a traffic accident in northern Balkh province. An official said on Thursday.
Adil Shah Adil, police spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the accident took place in Sholgara district late on Wednesday night.
Seven people were killed and two others wounded when a truck — traveling from Sholgara to Mazar-e-Sharif — collided with a car.
He said three women, as many men and a child were among the dead. Two women were injured in the incident.
He added the truck driver had been arrested. The detainee is under investigation in connection with the collision.
