Salang highway closed for cargo trucks

CHARIKAR (Pajhwok): The Salang highway, linking Kabul with northern provinces of the country was closed for cargo trucks as a result windstorm on Saturday morning, an official said.

SamiullahWalizada, the highway maintenance commander, told Pajhwok Afghan News the key route was shut for cargo trucks at around 7:40am.

Currently there was light snowfall in the north and clear skies in the south; but a strong wind is blowing. There is a possibility of snowfall in the next 24 hours.
